🎤Masterclass on governance 🎤 at Le Philanthro-Lab on the theme: “Governance: role, methods and tools for mobilizing it to serve your project"
- Bruno Kaufmann
- 24 oct. 2023
- 2 min de lecture
WeBoard is a long-standing partner of the Philanthro-Lab. Bruno Kaufmann, our Chairman, regularly gives talks on the governance of associations, foundations and endowment funds.
In October 2023, a Masterclass was held on governance, its importance in the success of philanthropic action and the tools to implement it in the best possible way.
🧐 The subject of governance has often been approached superficially, reduced to a simple notion of administration and control. Yet effective governance lies at the heart of every successful project, whether in business, philanthropy, NGOs or any other type of organization.
In this session, we explored :
1️⃣ The foundations of governance: The need for a clear, ethical and transparent structure to optimize decision-making (but also the evolution of the concept throughout history).
2️⃣ Modern methods of governance: How to clarify objectives and mobilize the collective intelligence of stakeholders to turn them into powerful levers for action.
3️⃣ Practical tools: Presentation of various tools (including advisory boards and working groups, as well as board skills mapping tools) to facilitate the implementation of effective governance.
🚀 Many thanks to Pauline Le Mouellic for sharing her experience of discovering, building and managing the governance of the Graine de Footballeuses association. The sharing of her questions and decisions has usefully enlightened the themes addressed this morning.
✨Many thanks to Cendrine Nazos of Philanthro-Lab for introducing and organizing this wonderful morning, and for welcoming us to the ever-sublime venue of the grand rotunda 🤩. It was a pleasure to speak between these stones steeped in history and the transmission of knowledge.
Finally, thank you to all the participants for their stimulating questions during this highly interactive exchange. 🙏 Their curiosity and willingness to change current practices reinforces our conviction that we can all be agents of change.
